In a world where it’s often snowing, Machine came onboard to help digitally enhance the practical snow in various scenes.
The entire team at Machine worked simultaneously on a 25 second shot - replacing live action animated clothing in the foreground using numerous morphing, warping and painting techniques. An entire area of the image was rebuilt section by section as characters moved around in the Control Room. All the parts were combined in the final composite to build a seamless costume.
Combined with this work - which was completed using Shake as well as painting packages - were numerous spit-screen composites, SFX crash cleanup, monitor inserts and object replacements.
